New Zealand Certificate in Business | (Administration and Technology L4)

The Level 4 Business Administration programme provides learners with practical, industry-relevant skills that prepare them for employment in administration, business support, customer service, and office management roles. Through a combination of classroom-based learning and applied workplace practices, learners develop competencies in communication, business systems, digital technologies, workplace organisation, and professional administration. 
 

The programme is designed to equip learners with nationally recognised qualifications while building confidence, employability, and pathways into further tertiary study or sustainable employment. Learners gain the knowledge and practical experience required to contribute effectively in a range of business environments, supporting both personal success and workforce development within the rohe. 

What You Will Learn

Throughout the programme, you will gain the skills to:

  • Select and apply business applications and technology to deliver effective administrative services.

  • Process data, produce detailed business information, and perform financial calculations for business purposes.

  • Maintain and improve administrative systems and processes to meet organisational needs.

  • Collaborate effectively and contribute to achieving team objectives.

  • Apply customer service techniques that consistently meet stakeholder expectations.

  • Demonstrate professional, ethical, socially, and culturally responsible behaviour in the workplace.

  • Apply personal and interpersonal skills that support positive organisational performance.

Programme Content

This qualification includes learning in:

  • Technological Services - Unit Standard 29029 (20 credits)

  • Administrative Services - Unit Standard 32348 (15 credits)

  • Data Processing - Unit Standards 29030 and 1986 (15 credits)

  • Team Collaboration - Unit Standard 11101 (5 credits)

  • Safe and Secure Customer Service - Unit Standard 122 (5 credits)
