Te Pou Oranga O Whakatohea Workforce Development programmes are approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority under section 249 of the Education Act 1989, and the Te Pou Oranga O Whakatohea Workforce development is accredited to provide the programmes under section 250 of the Act.
Te Ara Tau is a holistic, tikanga-based employment and workforce development programme that supports individuals to build confidence, capability, and readiness for employment.
The programme combines literacy and numeracy development, driver licensing support, work-readiness training, mentoring, and personalised planning to help participants overcome barriers and achieve their goals.
Through a strengths-based and culturally grounded approach, participants are supported to develop the skills, knowledge, and resilience needed to transition into sustainable employment, further training, or education. Te Ara Tau contributes to stronger workforce participation while promoting individual and whānau wellbeing.
