Manaaki i te tangata mā te whānaunga, he tangata kotahi tātou
Empowered whānau to build strong relationships

Te Pou Oranga o Whakatōhea

Te Pou Oranga o Whakatōhea is a Kaupapa Māori service that supports our whānau in various aspects of their lives. Our mission is to ensure:

  • Our pēpi are born healthy, thrive, and are well-prepared for school.

  • Our tamariki live in safe and nurturing homes.

  • Our rangatahi grow as aspiring leaders who contribute to our community.

  • Our kaumātua are provided with respect, care, and dignity.

We aim to empower our whānau with confidence, skills, well-being, belonging, and independence. Our staff will meet with whānau to discuss their needs and connect them with the appropriate services and support staff. Together, we work with whānau to develop personalised plans to meet all needs.

Ki te Whai Ao ki te Ao Mārama Kaupapa Māori Framework
Ki te Whai Ao ki te Ao Mārama focuses on utilising Kaupapa Māori values, belief systems, and practices of tangata whenua to achieve overall

well-being. Whakawhanaungatanga is a crucial aspect, establishing relationships and connections with a focus on Mauri Ora – the well-being of whānau, hapū, and Iwi, encompassing individual Kaupapa Māori aspirations. This framework helps build positive and meaningful relationships with both
the physical and spiritual worlds.

Te Pu
