This programme is designed to fit around real work, not interrupt it. Learners receive printed resources at enrolment through the Resource Store, with materials aligned to their selected units.
Training Advisers walk alongside learners, helping them stay on track with assessments and credits as they naturally align with seasonal work. All learning is based on the unit standards chosen in the learner’s training plan.
New Zealand Certification in Horticulture | Level 3, Credits 75
This programme builds practical skills for working in fruit production. Learners develop teamwork and communication skills while completing seasonal, hands-on tasks in the workplace.
Learners gain knowledge of soils, irrigation, pests, diseases, plant identification, and safe work practices, while improving workflow and collaboration on the job.
Start any time of year to suit seasonal work.
Duration: 13 months
People working in the horticulture industry who want to grow their skills in fruit production. No prior qualification required.
New Zealand Certification in Horticulture | Level 4, Credits 90-95
This programme develops confident supervisors in fruit production. Learners build leadership and communication skills while overseeing production, crop protection, and quality standards in the workplace.
Supports workforce development by growing supervisory capability and practical production management skills.
Delivered year-round and aligned to seasonal production where possible.
Duration: 16 months
Suitable for people working in horticulture who want to step into leadership or strengthen their fruit production expertise.
New Zealand Certification in Nursery | Level 3
This programme helps to develop practical skills for working in a nursery. Learners gain teamwork, communication, and hands-on experience with nursery production tasks.
Offered year-round.
Duration: 12–13 months
Ideal for people working in horticulture nurseries who want to grow their skills and knowledge.
