Toheiti: The Foundation of Reo Māori for Beginners

Toheiti, the beginner's level of Reo Māori within our Tohekura program. This stage is designed for new learners and provides the essential foundation needed to embark on their language journey.

As a seed requires nutrient-rich soil, water, and sunlight to grow, our Toheiti learners need the right environment and resources to flourish in their Reo Māori education. At Toheiti, we ensure our learners have everything they need to thrive.

Nutrient-Rich Soil: Comprehensive Learning Materials

Our curriculum is carefully crafted to provide a strong vocabulary, grammar, and cultural knowledge base. These foundational elements are the nutrient-rich soil supporting and nurturing our learners' growth.

Through engaging lessons and practical exercises, students begin to understand the structure and nuances of Reo Māori, setting the stage for more advanced learning.

Water: Continuous Support and Guidance

Just as water is essential for a seed's growth, continuous support and guidance are vital for our learners. Our experienced kaiako are dedicated to providing personalised feedback and encouragement, ensuring that each student feels confident and motivated. Regular practice sessions, interactive activities, and a supportive community create a whānau friendly environment where learners can thrive.

Sunlight: Inspiration and Motivation

Sunlight symbolises the inspiration and motivation that drive our learners forward. At Toheiti, we emphasise the importance of cultural immersion and real-world application. By connecting with the rich traditions and history of Reo Māori, students find a deeper purpose and inspiration in their studies. This connection to culture and heritage is a guiding light, illuminating their path to fluency.
