Data Analyst

Te āheinga - The opportunity:

Reporting to the Business Operations Manager, this role will collect, analyze, and interpret data to provide actionable insights that drive decision-making and support business objectives. This role involves managing data systems, generating reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and outcomes. In addition, this role will manage projects that look to optimising the current databases.

Ngā Kawenga me ngā Mahi – Duties & responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and define data requirements

  • Analyse datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s) and create regular performance reports

  • Train end-users and provide technical support to ensure effective adoption of database systems

  • Troubleshoot any technical database issues, referring to external providers where necessary

Ngā wheako me ngā pūkenga - Experience & Skills required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, or Tableau.

  • Experience in data visualization and presenting insights to non-technical audiences.

  • Knowledge of best practice data modelling, database design, and data cleaning techniques.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of Te Whakatōhea me ona tikanga would be highly regarded.
