Te Tōtara
Te Tōtara offers a diverse kaupapa Māori range of educational and cultural programmes
designed to support rangatahi in achieving aspirational success.

Te Tōtara kaimahi are dedicated to providing oportunities for rangatahi to thrive in all ares
of their lives. Through positive holistic engagement and environments we aim to foster and in still confidence and a strong sense of belonging.

Our Approach

We believe a supportive and holistic environment for Māori education is achieved through collaboration among schools, whānau, Iwi, and other community-integrated services.

Working together creates a framework where rangatahi can flourish academically, culturally, and personally.

“Te whare hei kawe i o moemoea, i o wawata hei poutikanga, poutokomanawa, pouwhakawhirinaki mo Whakatōhea”.

Our vision is to unleash the dreams and beliefs of our youth through kaupapa Māori practices, empowering them to become leaders in their own right.

Te Tōtara programme activities are designed to:

  • Build confidence in cultural identity and practices

  • Foster academic and personal growth

  • Encourage leadership and community involvement

Te Tōtara kaimahi are committed to nurturing our rangatahi and their potential, helping them become confident, capable leaders.

By embracing kaupapa Māori teaching and learning, we can create a supportive community.

We are committed to empowering our youth to achieve their dreams and make meaningful contributions to society.
