Mission Statement
To grow Te Ihi Kā Roa within Whakatōhea -
“Kia rangatira ai ngā uri o te Whakatōhea" by creating High Value Career Pathways and
opportunities for local Digital Entrepreneurship in Ōpōtiki.

opportunities for local Digital Entrepreneurship in Ōpōtiki.
Te Ihi Kā Roa: “Building a Digital Nation” is an initiative that is focused on building digital technology capability by establishing a Digital Natives Academy in Ōpōtiki to help build coding literacy amongst our rangatahi of Te Whakatōhea.
Our aim is to grow Te Ihi Kā Roa within Whakatōhea -
“Kia rangatira ai ngā uri o te Whakatōhea" by creating High Value Career Pathways and opportunities for local Digital Entrepreneurship in Ōpōtiki. This can be achieved by developing Digital Literacy amongst our Rangatahi to Grow Whakatōhea’s Digital Capacity and Build Multi-Level Collaborations through three interconnected programs:
1. Establish a Digital Natives Academy in Ōpōtiki to build digital literacy amongst Rangatahi.
2. Developing content through the History and Culture of Whakatōhea to enhance digital literacy and cultural literacy.
3. Building business opportunities using digital technologies.
