Whakatohea Health Centre

The Whakatohea Health Centre is owned by the Whakatohea Iwi and its mission is to provide the best general practice medical care efficiently, cost effectively and in a cultural appropriate manner.  It is important that primary health care for Maori is Maori based otherwise the emphasis on improving the health for our own people is lost.

Whakatohea Iwi Social & Health Services

Whakatohea Maori Trust Board Iwi Social and Health Services was initiated by the Whakatohea Maori Trust Board to address the changing needs of our changing community.  All services delivered are guaranteed to include the concepts of Tika, Pono and Aroha.  We recognise that an essential element for a person's holistic well being is the concept of oranga, the state of well being that exists simultaneously in the spiritual, physical and psychological dimensions.  All the people within our service endeavour to assist and empower Whanau to make healthy choices for a healthy future.
