EDUCATION WHĀNAU INTERVIEWER

WHĀNAU INTERVIEWER
We require 2 Whānau Interviewers to collect information from Whakatōhea Iwi members to inform our Iwi education strategy. The Whānau Interviewer role will work predominately at grassroots level and identify and interview as many whānau as possible to participate in the interview process.
We are looking for people who have extensive networks in the community and are able to engage whānau in a range of ways. This position is for a fixed term of 4 months.
The position will require:
- A good level of experience and knowledge of tikanga and kawa applicable to Te Whakatōhea;
- Previous experience as a researcher / interviewer;
- Excellent communication skills – speaking, listening, vocab and grammar;
- Being courteous, empathetic and professional;
- Working in a team environment;
- Working independently at times unsupervised;
- Honesty and integrity; and,
- A full drivers license
