 Chief Executive Officer, Dickie Farrar 

Whakatōhea, Kahungunu, Te Whanau-a-Apanui, Ngati Porou descent

Dickie is answerable to the Whakatohea Maori Trust Board and sits across three Boards providing strategic, and operational support to directors as well as oversees the management of the trust board operations.

 For the past 2 years she has been busy reviewing the organization, as well as developing key strategies affecting our cultural, health, education, economic, social and environmental well beings.  These strategies will be key to the development of a long term 50 year plan built on the aspirations and voices of nga uri o Whakatohea through the completion of our well being survey in 2010.

 Her vision for the future is to create opportunities for long term sustainable economic wealth whilst balancing and building  the social, health and education needs of Whakatohea.

 Through the leadership of a good governance Board and a strong united management team we will achieve the aspirations of the tribe

Finance Manager, Priscilla Drummond

Priscilla is responsible for the Board and it's subsidiaries' financial management. Her role is critical in supporting the General Manager through decision making and financial planning, and also to achieve the financial goals of the Board. Her finance team service all areas of the organsiation including the day to day financial operations.

 

 

Health and Social Services Group Manager, Geoff Bristowe

Whakatōhea, Ngāti Awa

Geoff joins the team with a mental health background. He believes that as a community we need to look after each other the way we used to. We live in an area of abundance and we need to share and give to those in need.

Whanau Ora allows us to get back to the basics and care for ourselves with the help and assistance of the health services. I believe that healthcare needs to be affordable and accessible to the whole community. Through professional staffing, adequate resourcing and well planned service delivery, our health services will work with you to work with yourselves. Whānau Ora – happy families, Hapū Ora – Healthy Communities, Ka Ora ai te Iwi – Whakatōhea, Ōpōtiki will thrive!

Office Manager, Jascoe Ngaia

Ngāti Kahungunu

Jascoe's role at the Trust Board is to oversee the Board's Services. Her administration team service all business areas of the organisation, providing ciritcal administrative and customer service duties. Jascoe is also responsible for implementation of management functions including HR, Quality Management, communications, health and safety and tribal database management. She is of Whakatōhea decent and brings business management and contract managment skills to the team.

 Executive Assistant to the Board & EA to General Manager, Nora Moore-Kelly

Whakatōhea - Ngāti Patumoana
Te Whānau-Ā-Apanui - Ngāti Pararaki

Nora is Executive Assistant to the General Manager, Chair and Governing Board. She provides organsiational planning and support to the organisations key subsidiaries, trust's and companies.

 

 

Thomas Tawhiri – Education Group Manager

Ngati Rua, Ngati Muriwai, Ngai Tai

Thomas is responsible for the Private Training Establishment including Te Aria Toka, Early Childhood Education as well as the Alternative Education Centre. Thomas will also be working on the planning and implementation of an educational strategic plan for Whakatohea.

Thomas comes from a background in primary and secondary teaching but has also spent time lecturing in Early Childhood Education as well as a stint as a reviewer for the Educational Review Office and most recently working as a Quality Improvement Manager for Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.

  Louisa Erickson - Iwi/Community  Development Manager

Whakatōhea – Ngati Rua
Te Whanau-A-Apanui – Te Ehutu

Key role is to develop 50-100 year strategic plans for Whakatohea Maori Trust Board to  ensure key relationships are developed and maintained and ensure strategic positioning of the Whakatohea Maori Trust Board in a lead role in the Opotiki Community, in the region and nationally.
